Dưới đây là bản dịch sang tiếng Anh cho các nội dung về đế giày Phylon mà chúng ta vừa thảo luận:
Phylon, also known as MD (Midsole) or Twice-foamed EVA ($2 \times EVA$), is a polymer material widely used in footwear production, especially in athletic and running shoes.
Ultralight: Significantly lighter than traditional sole materials like rubber.
Flexible and Resilient: High flexibility and softness, providing a comfortable walking experience.
Excellent Cushioning and Shock Absorption: Helps absorb impact and rebound, protecting the feet, knees, and spine.
Durable and High Load-bearing: Its load-bearing capacity is estimated to be twice that of regular rubber.
Phylon soles are manufactured using the compression molding technique:
EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Copolymer) beads are heat-pressed and expanded.
They are then placed into a detailed mold and undergo a second heat-pressing stage.
The heating process causes the air bubbles within the EVA to expand while the material densifies, taking the shape of the mold.
Finally, the mold is rapidly water-cooled to set the shape, and the sole is de-molded.
