In Japanese, “Kirei” (キレイ) means beautiful and noble - a pure beauty, not only in appearance, but also hidden in every gesture, look and demeanor. It is the natural, gentle but brave beauty of a woman who knows how to love and cherish herself.
When combined with the spirit of "Iki" (粋) - symbolizing delicate, simple beauty but with its own charm , the Kirei Iki bag line was born as a tribute to women with high aesthetic taste, living naturally but still maintaining a luxurious aura .
The Iki spirit originates from Edo culture - where urban women considered elegance and restraint to be the pinnacle of beauty. They did not need to be ostentatious, nor were they fussy - just by being delicate in every little detail, they made the world stop to admire. That is the characteristic virtue of Geisha - a symbol of inner beauty, of grace nurtured by self-respect and self-confidence.
